Black Chickpea Hummus

Updated: Jul 1

Made with black chickpeas and black tahini paste, these two ingredients add a very unique colour to the hummus. A wonderful alternative to the traditional hummus.

Lets talk about the two ingredients that give this hummus its unique colour:

BLACK CHICKPEAS

Black chickpeas contain more fiber and have more nutritional benefits than the regular yellow chickpeas.

I also find they taste a bit nuttier than the yellow chickpea and are a bit firmer, which gives the hummus a bit more texture.

Chickpeas are rich in plant protein and packed with nutrients.

Due to their high fiber content, you will feel fuller for longer.

BLACK TAHINI

Black tahini is similar to regular tahini, expect it it made from roasted, ground black sesame seeds. It is slightly more bitter and has a more intense nutty flavour.

Plus it looks really cool!
