Peanut Butter + Chocolate Bliss Balls

with chocolate chips and a peanut butter centre (optional). These are so delicious and a bit addictive to be completely honest.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Bliss Balls

These Peanut butter and chocolate bliss bites are raw, easy to make and so indulgent.

TO MAKE THESE YOU WILL NEED

  • A good peanut butter. I used a crunchy, dark roasted peanut butter

  • Chocolate Protein Powder

  • Cacao Powder

  • Medjool dates

  • Chocolate Chips

  • Almond milk (if needed)

  • Vanilla extract

MEDJOOL DATES

Medjool dates work best. Plus, they taste like a caramel.

PEANUT BUTTER

Make sure to use a peanut butter without any added oils or sugars. I used a crunchy, dark roasted and lightly salted peanut butter.

CHOCOLATE PROTEIN POWDER

I used an unsweetened vegan protein powder. The brand I use has added chia seeds, which is why I needed to add almond milk as they absorb more liquid.

CACAO POWDER

Preferably an organic cacao powder.

DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS

70% or higher (vegan) dark chocolate chunks or vegan "milk" chocolate chips.

VANILLA EXTRACT

This is optional, but adds a lovely additional flavour.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bliss Balls

WITH OR WITHOUT A PEANUT BUTTER CENTER

This is completely up to you. I have made them with and without the peanut butter centre and they are both equally delicious.

If you want the peanut butter centre you will need to make them ahead and freeze them for about 30 minutes.

The best way to make this is to use a thick, crunchy peanut butter. It shouldn't be too runny, otherwise the peanut butter will be flat disc shapes.

To do this place a sheet of baking paper or a silicon sheet on a small freezer safe tray. Scoop about 1 tsp peanut butter dollops onto a baking paper. Keep them as round as possible.

Place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.

Once frozen you can cover the peanut butter with the sticky bliss ball mixture and shape them into balls.

SALT OR NO SALT

Having a bit of salt in the mixture will help enhance the flavours.

If you are using an unsalted peanut butter you can add a pinch of salt to the mixture. Otherwise omit.
