Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Sweet, rich and creamy pumpkin pie flavour smoothie. No smoothie says Autumn like a pumpkin pie smoothie.
The smoothie is naturally sweetened, without any added sweetness or sugars. This makes a healthy and satisfying treat if you are craving pumpkin pie but want to keep it healthier and lighter.
YOU WILL NEED
pumpkin puree
frozen banana
almond milk
almond butter or pecan butter
ground cinnamon
ground allspice
ground nutmeg
ground ginger
vanilla paste
flaxseeds
TIPS TO MAKE A GOOD SMOOTHIE
Freeze your bananas to make a thicker smoothie
Use ripe bananas. The riper the banana the sweeter and thicker the smoothie
Blend the ingredients until completely smooth and no lumps
Add less liquid to make a thicker smoothie - perfect to make a smoothie bowl
or add more liquid for a thinner consistency.
ADDITIONAL ADD-INS
Add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to boost the protein intake
Add a tablespoon rolled oats to make this a filling breakfast smoothie
Replace the flaxseeds with chia seeds
Add a tablespoon vanilla yoghurt to make the smoothie even creamier.
I find this smoothie perfectly sweet, but if you like it sweeter add one or two dates or a teaspoon maple syrup.
Try to avoid adding table sugar.

INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp pumpkin puree
1 large frozen banana
1 cup almond milk (add more for a thinner consistency)
1 tsp almond or pecan butter
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of each ground ginger, all spice and nutmeg
1/2 tsp vanilla paste
INSTRUCTIONS
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
