Made with cashew milk, cacao powder and beetroot powder. This latte is inspired by the classic red velvet cake flavours and is the perfect indulgent treat or afternoon pick-me-up.
It is the beginning of autumn, which means we are swapping iced lattes for warm lattes.

TO MAKE THIS YOU WILL NEED
cashew milk or oat milk. Why not try my Homemade Cashew M*lk
organic cacao powder
beetroot powder
maple syrup or coconut sugar (optional for sweetness)
A NUTRITIOUS TREAT
Both, the cacao powder and beetroot powder have nutritional benefits and therefor make this a healthy drink.
WHAT'S BEETROOT POWDER?
Beetroot powder is made from freeze-dried concentrated beetroot juice, blitzed into a fine powder.
I love using this Beetroot Powder from Sevenhills Wholefoods, available on Amazon.
LET'S TALK BEETS
As mentioned, beetroot has many health benefits, some of these include:
Beetroot is rich in a group of antioxidants called Betalain, which give them that gorgeous vibrant colour.
Betalain may help reduce oxidative stress and aid the body's natural detoxification process.
They are nutrient-dense and high in vitamins and minerals.
They also have anti-inflammatory properties
They are good for your blood and cardiovascular health.
They are also good for stamina, energy and muscle recovery.

ADDITIONAL AND-INS
Add 1/2 tsp instant coffee
Add vegan honey, maple syrup or coconut sugar for sweetness
