Other benefits from Kiwis - they are good for your heart and can help lower blood pressure levels and protect memory loss.

SPINACH

I used baby leaf spinach, which are dense in nutrients and healthy compounds and can also help protect against chronic diseases and against age-related eye diseases.

PROTEIN POWDER

I used a protein powder with added green superfoods powder. You can use a plain or vanilla (unsweetened) protein powder or omit completely.

MACA POWDER

I also add a bit of maca powder to my smoothies. I love the taste, but it is also boosts energy and helps improve the mood.

LIQUID

Coconut water, water or almond milk. Adjust to get the consistency of the smoothie you like.

FROZEN VS FRESH

You can use fresh fruit, but I personally prefer frozen fruit as it will give the smoothie a much thicker texture.

SMOOTHIE BOWL

Enjoy this as a smoothie bowl by using frozen fruit and adding as little as possible (if any) liquid. If the frozen fruit is too hard, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before blending. This will allow the fruit to defrost a little bit, which will make it easier to blend.

SMOOTH!

Using a good high-speed blender will also help achieve a smooth texture, without any bits of spinach.
